Steps to apply to the Board of Real Estate to take the Salesperson Exam:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Complete the class and receive your certificate of completion from a Board approved Real Estate School<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Be 18 years or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The state requires that you give them permission to run a crimal background check. \u00a0You need to have the CORI<\/a> notarized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Have 3 people fill out Personal Character Reference Form<\/a>. (Print 3 copies. The person cannot be related to you or live with you.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Have a current head shot picture. \u00a0Do not copy your drivers license photo. \u00a0The picture can be a good selfie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Create an account on eLipse<\/a>. \u00a0Fill out the application and upload all the above documents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Steps to apply to the Board of Real Estate to take the Broker Exam:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Complete the class and receive your certificate of completion from a Board approved Real Estate School<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Be 18 years or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Have an active Massachusetts Real Estate License.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. The state requires that you give them permission to run a crimal background check. \u00a0You need to have the CORI<\/a> notarized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Have 3 people fill out Personal Character Reference Form<\/a>. (Print 3 copies. The person cannot be related to you or live with you.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Have at least 3 years of experience working for an active Massachusetts broker (at a minimum of 25 hours per week). Please complete the Employing Broker Certification Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Have a notarized $5,000 surety bond completed and signed by an insurance agent and the principal candidate\/examinee. (Must be an original. Cannot upload a copy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Have a current head shot picture. \u00a0Do not copy your drivers license photo. \u00a0The picture can be a good selfie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. Create an account on eLipse<\/a>. \u00a0Fill out the application and upload the Certificate of Completion, CORI, 3 Personal Character References, Employing Broker Certificate(s), Surety Bond, and picture.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
