Massachusetts real estate license application process

For many of you this may not apply, but if you know someone that has taken the prelicense class for their Salesperson or Broker license within the last 2 years. You may want to share this information with them.

For our students that completed the prelicense class with us in the last two years. If you turned in the application and have passed the exam. Congratulations!!! For those of you that have not yet sent in your application to PSI. Time maybe running out for you. I just found out that PSI is taking longer to process the application.

You have two years from the date that you completed the class to turn in your application and take the exam. You will not be given any extra time, because it is taking PSI longer to process the application. No matter if you sent in the application and are waiting to hear about your approval. If your certificate expires you will need to retake the class to be eligable to take the exam and resubmit your application.

Why is it taking longer for PSI to process the applications? A few of the people that process the applications have left. They are working on hiring new employees, but that’s still going to take time to train them. The Board has told us that applications are taking upto two months to be processed. So, get your application in ASAP.

The best way to turn in your application is by scanning it and emailing it to:

Live Webinar Salesperson and Broker Classes

LiveWebinar-2  The end of last year the state made it possible for us to teach the 40 hour Salesperson and Broker prelicense classes as live webinar.  How exciting is that.  You can take the class any where that you have high speed internet access with your computer.
As soon as we found out that we could teach the class online.  We were jumping for joy.  So many students were already asking us about taking the classes online.
We decided to teach our webinar salesperson prelicense students at the same time that we are teaching our live weekend classes on Sat and Sun from 8am to 6pm.  We are also going to be teaching the broker prelicense class as a webinar class on Wednesday from 8am to 6pm.
To take the live webinar you will need to have:
  1. A PC or Mac computer
  2. High speed internet
  3. Headphones with a microphone
  4. Webcam
To complete the class we will need to see you and be able to interact with you for the entire class.  Our schedule of classes can be found on our website.

Goodbye to Pearson Vue

The Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons has said, “So long and thanks for all the fish!” to Pearson Vue yesterday.

That is correct as of April 1st, 2016 PSI Services LLC will be the new testing service for Real Estate Exams here in the state of Massachusetts. As this is breaking news the board is not giving us any details about the transition just yet.

The notice was posted on the Pearson Vue website yesterday.

Pearson Vue Notice

According to the Pearson Vue website:

As of March 15, 2016, Real Estate applicants will be able to schedule examinations with PSI Services LLC, for examinations, on or after April 1, 2016. Additional information can be found at the following web site on or around March 15th: psiexams.com

I am encouraging all of our broker and salesperson students that have already completed their prelicensing course, and not taken the real estate exam yet, to do so ASAP to avoid any delays in getting their license.

As word of the transition spreads I am sure that Pearson Vue will be swamped with students trying to take their test before April 1st so I would call Pearson Vue today and schedule the next available exam you can. Here is the number too make an exam reservation (800)274-0501.

You can be sure that we are going to be ferreting out all the details of this process as they unfold and informing you each step of the way.

Here is how you can help us. We are crafting a email to the Director of the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons about this transition and would love to include your questions and feedback. If you have specific questions about the transition please post them below. As we get the answers to the questions we will detail them here so everyone gets the benefit of the information.
